Title: Enhancing Fishery and Aquaculture Potential Mapping with Res-Net-Kan
Abstarct: Accurate mapping of fishery and aquaculture potential is essential for optimizing resource utilization and ensuring sustainability. This study proposes Res-Net-Kan, a deep learning-based classification model leveraging Residual Networks (ResNet) for identifying high-potential fishing zones, including fish, shellfish, crab, shrimp, and seaweed. The model integrates satellite imagery, sea surface temperature, salinity, and other environmental parameters to enhance predictive accuracy. Experimental evaluations demonstrate that Res-Net-Kan outperforms traditional classification approaches, achieving high precision in spatial prediction. With its ability to handle complex multivariate relationships and accelerate training through residual connections, Res-Net-Kan provides a robust decision-support tool for fisheries management. Its application has the potential to improve ecosystem understanding, support sustainable resource management, and strengthen global conservation efforts.
